Solid waste management and water solutions at the centre of attraction at Eco India 2023

IITAC has become the leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and recycling in India. With the launch of IATA in Delhi in 2020, a strong platform has been created for the environmental industry in the north of the country.

Mumbai, October 12, 2023: The Ministry of Women Affairs of India proudly presents the milestone 10th edition of IIT, which has emerged as one of the leading trade fairs for water, sewage, solid waste and recycling technologies in the country. For over a decade, IIT has been contributing to the Swash Bharat Mission by providing a platform to showcase globally competitive waste management and wastewater treatment technologies and promoting ideas and networking through its wide range of conferences, roadshows, innovation forums, workshops, etc.

Due to its immense value to India's circular ecosystem, IATA has developed a wide network of industry partnerships and associations. Some of the key associations supporting IATA in 2023 are: Pollution Control Association of India, International Council for Circular Economy, All India Brewers Association, International Solid Waste Association, International Water Association, Centre for Environmental Education, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, European Water Association and German Water, Wastewater and Waste Association.

Major exhibitors at this edition include Sustainability, Thermax, Veolia, DuPont Water Solutions, Hermann Seven GmbH, Ion Exchange, Larsen Toubro, and Therese India, among others. The exhibition will cover nearly 30,000 square meters and attract more than 150 high-quality conference speakers, including environmental scientists, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, think tanks, government authorities, etc.

In anticipation of the upcoming 10th edition, IFSA Technical Director said, "Today, waste management technologies have achieved economies of scale and widespread acceptance in emerging economies of the world. However, we need more collaboration among stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, and knowledge sharing among established and emerging actors, especially start-ups operating in the field of solid waste management. I am therefore delighted to see the first ever Startup Pavilion at the IFSA this year. More power to IFSA India."

To promote its 10th Trade Expo, IFAC India successfully organized a series of roadshows across the country, attracting more than 100 high profile speakers and panelists, in addition to more than 1,000 delegates and attendees from the country's vibrant water and waste management sector. The Swachi Bharat Yatra series of roadshows were held in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar and Pondicherry.

Next exhibition time: October 16-18, 2024.
